A perfect blend of the folky side of Vvilderness and the bombastic, sexy and catchy sound of retro synthwave.
Favorite track: Giantess.

Vvildr has succeeded in once again surprising and amazing me with their work. Combining synthwave with their unique folk style and instruments completely came out of left field, but I absolutely love it.

Here again, just as in his main project, Vvilderness, Vvildr manages to associate things that you would never think go together - in this case synthwave & Norse folk. It does not just work but it works bl**dy well! I am looking forward to more from this project! If this is the start then the sky is the limit! Highly recommended!!!

about
Worshipping 80s synths and the Æsir.
This is vvilderness' side project. I combined synthwave sounds with shards of northern folk, played on self-built folk instruments. Also there are some metal riffs here and there. Recently I'm working on an album, to be released this year.

The album as a whole is great, but the title track is phenomenal--one of the best melodic metal songs I've ever heard. 和美's ethereal voice is the perfect complement to vvildr's growling vocals and masterful instrumentation. More, please! Malcolm McCrimmon
It's weird, I spent a lot of time with "Devour the Sun", but for some reason, each album after, much less time was spent. Now at the end of 2023 I've been really sinking into Vvilderness' albums. They're each equally incredible works of art. At first listen, maybe one or two songs might grab me, but then after giving the full album a listen a handful of times, it gets harder to pick a favorite. Tim
A deep synthwave trip into a blighted neon dystopia where androids and doomsday cults wreak havoc. Flashy, imaginative work from James Kent. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2016
Here kitty, kitty! The synthwave genius returns with a whole new batch of hooky, metal-edged songs that are more fun than a ball of yarn. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 11, 2022
Darkwave synth that directly addresses our modern dystopian political environment, with proceeds going to the Voting Rights Project. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2018
Hungarian Post-Black / Folk Metal. This is a one man, Vvild, project & is incredibly interesting & he is enormously talented in a variety of instruments. It is not my every day listen (I like things heavier :)) but one I always keep going back to time & again. Vvildr can do no wrong - all his albums are stellar & this is no exception! I just cannot gush enough... :) Highly recommended!!! bmurator
